CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

We invite the submission of abstracts for presentation at the APELSO 2026 in Tokyo, Japan, June 11-13. We welcome submissions that highlight innovations, education and evidence-based practice in extracorporeal life support (ECLS).
APELSO 2026 presentations are a wonderful opportunity to communicate your ideas, showcase your experiences and share your vision for the future with global experts in the field.
Abstracts are open to all professionals involved in ECLS, including doctors, nurses, perfusionists, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals who are committed to advancing ECLS care and practice worldwide, especially from the Asia-Pacific region.
We are excited to hear your presentations and look forward to your valuable contributions at APELSO 2026!
GENERAL INFORMATION
- All abstracts must be submitted in English.
- Abstracts must be submitted online via the APELSO 2026 website. Abstracts submitted by email or post will not be accepted.
- Each author may submit multiple abstracts, but each abstract must be submitted separately.
- The Scientific Program Committee will review abstracts.
- The Scientific Program Committee will notify authors of abstract acceptance by the end of March 2026. A notification email will be sent from abstract@apelso2026.jp.
- Best Presenter Awards will be featured. They will be selected through a rigorous review process.
- The presenting author must complete conference registration by April 14th, 2026 to confirm their presentation.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION POLICY
- Abstracts may be submitted for poster presentation.
- Abstracts may include novel findings about original research, case reports or centre experience and program development/improvement.
- From among the accepted abstracts, outstanding abstracts will be selected for oral presentation during designated sessions.
Abstract Format
- The abstract should be as informative as possible.
- Authors: Limited to 10 including the first author
Affiliation: Limited to 10
Abstract title: Limited to 25 words
Abstract body: Limited to 300 words, or 220 words with one table/figure.
Abstract structure: (Research abstracts) Background > Methods > Result > Conclusion
(Case report/Activity report abstracts)
Background > Clinical Course/Activities > Discussion > Conclusion - Please use standard abbreviations only. Define all other abbreviations at first mention.
